Coupon Codes
Coupons give customers a reason to come back. Invoay can create coupons automatically after a visit, or you can make your own coupon codes to share on social media, flyers or with partners.
How to open it: Marketing › Coupon Code
🔑 Which automatic option you'll see: if the Coupon Automation feature is on for your account, the menu shows Customer Automation. Otherwise it shows Customer Coupon Code Campaign.
Customer Automation
Create rules that automatically give a customer a discount coupon whenever their bill meets a condition — for example "Spend 2,000 on services and get 10% off your next visit". The coupon is linked to the customer and can be used on their next visit.
Creating a rule
Click + New Rule and work through the four sections.
1. When should a coupon be created?
| Field | What it means |

| Rule Name | A short name so you can recognise the rule in the list |
| Trigger amount | The bill must reach at least this amount. Enter 0 to create a coupon on every bill |
| Count Amount From | Which items count towards that amount: Services, Products, Packages and/or Memberships. Tick at least one |
| If Bill Already Has a Coupon Applied | Tick to still create a new coupon when the customer already used one on this bill |
| If Bill Has a Discount Applied | Tick to still create a coupon when the bill already had a discount |
2. How much discount?
| Field | What it means |

| Discount Value | For example 10 (%) or 100 (off) |
| Max Discount Cap | (Percentage only) The most the coupon can take off, however big the bill |
3. When should the rule work?
| Field | What it means |
|---|---|
| Applicable Days | Click the days the rule should work on. Leave all unselected for every day |
| Time Window | Only bills made between these times count. Leave blank for any time |
| First Visit Only | Only for a customer's first visit. Choose Store Level (first visit to this branch) or Chain Level (first visit to any of your branches — brand-new customers only) |
4. Rules for using the coupon
These apply when the customer tries to use the coupon on their next visit.

| Minimum Bill to Redeem | The next bill must be at least this amount. Enter 0 for any amount |
| Coupon Valid For (Days) | How long the coupon lasts after it's created |
| Allow Loyalty Points | Tick to let the customer use loyalty points on the same bill as the coupon |
Click Create Rule.
The rule list
Each rule shows its trigger, discount, where it can be used, minimum bill, validity, days and times, and restrictions. Click Edit to change a rule, Deactivate to pause it, and Activate to switch it back on.
Customer Coupon Code Campaign
Automatically send new customers a coupon by SMS — for example when they fill in your entry form or give feedback.
Fill in the Campaign Details:

| Validity (days) | How long each coupon lasts |
| Discount Percent / Maximum Discount Amount | The discount, and the most it can take off |
| New customers only | Tick to only send it to new customers |
| SMS content / DLT Template ID | The message to send, and its approved DLT template ID. Double-click a placeholder to add it to the message |
| Active | Is the campaign running right now? |
| Send on entry form / on feedback (tab) / on SMS feedback | When the coupon should be sent |
Click Update Record to save.
Custom Coupon Code
Make your own coupon codes — like DIWALI20 or WELCOME100 — to share wherever you like.
Creating a coupon
Click New Custom Coupon and fill in:

| Coupon Code | The code customers will use. Each code must be unique |
| Coupon Type | Use on Product, Service or Both |
| Validity In Days | How long the coupon lasts |
| Minimum Bill Amount | The bill must be at least this much |
| Cash Discount Amount or Percentage Discount | Choose one — not both |
| Maximum Discount Amount | Required for a percentage discount (the most it can take off). Leave at 0 for a cash discount |
| Number Of Redemptions | How many times the code can be used in total. Enter -1 for unlimited |
Many coupons at once
Click Bulk Upload Custom Coupons, then Download Template, fill in one row per coupon, and upload the Excel file.
The coupon list
Shows every coupon with its dates, discount, and how many times it has been used (Number Of Redeems) out of the maximum allowed.
- Extend – give a coupon a later expiry date. Pick a preset (+7, +15 or +30 days) or any later date, add a reason, and save.
- Deactivate – stop a coupon from being used.
