Membership Master
A membership gives a customer discounts for a set period — for example "Gold Membership: 20% off all hair services for one year". Memberships keep customers loyal and bring them back more often.

There are two kinds of membership:

| Range Membership | The discount depends on the bill amount — for example 10% on bills from 1,000 to 2,999 and 15% on bills of 3,000 and above | New Range Membership |

Creating a membership
Both kinds share these fields:
| Field | What to enter |

| Name | The membership's name |
| Local Name | The name in your local language, printed on the bill (only if your account has a local language) |
| Validity In Days | How long the membership lasts |
| Cost | What the customer pays. Enter 0 for a free membership |
| Complimentary Amount | Any free credit that comes with it. Enter 0 for none |
| Is Tax Included | Tick if the cost includes tax |
| SAC Code, CGST, SGST, IGST | Tax details |
| Can Disable Discount | Lets the cashier switch off the membership discount on a particular bill |
| Is OTP Required For Applying Discount | The customer must share a one-time code sent to their phone before the discount is applied — this stops misuse |
Basic Membership also has:

| Is Card Number Required | The cashier must enter a membership card number when selling it |
| Should Carry Forward Complimentary Value | Unused complimentary credit moves over when the membership is renewed |
| Allow Purchase Even When Not Expired | Customers can renew before their current membership ends |
| Complimentary Redeem Type | Whether using the complimentary credit creates a Receipt or a Bill |
| Discount table | Every category and sub-category is listed — type the Percentage Discount for each one |
Range Membership instead has a table where you add rows of Bill Amount From, Bill Amount To and Percent Discount, and choose the categories that are eligible for the discount.
⚠️ Some options only work with recent versions of the SimplePOS billing app — the help text next to each option says which.
Managing your memberships
- The list shows every membership with its type, tax details and whether it's active.
- Untick Is Active to stop selling a membership. Customers who already have it keep their benefits.
- Click Store Details on a row to choose which stores sell it.
