Wallet recharge and gift vouchers

What's the store wallet?​

The store wallet (also called the Wallet & Advance Card) is money a customer has paid in advance. They can spend it on any future bill. It's handy for regulars, and great for keeping them coming back! It's also where refunds go if you choose to refund to the wallet.

Recharge (top up) a customer's wallet​

  1. Open the customer's profile.
  2. Tap the Recharge button at the bottom of Customer Detail, or tap Wallet & Advance Card.
  3. In Wallet Recharge, you'll see the Available Amount. Enter:
    • Recharge Amount: how much they're adding.
    • Remark: a short note, e.g. "Diwali advance". This is required.
  4. Tap Pay.
  5. Collect the payment in the usual way (cash, card and so on). See Take payment.
  6. You'll see Recharge Successful. Tap Recharge Again to add more, or Dismiss.

Good to know:

  • You can't pay for a recharge using the wallet.
  • A recharge needs an internet connection. You'll see No Internet if you're offline.
  • If you see "Please sync customer data before recharging the wallet.", the customer was only just created. Wait a moment and try again.

Spend the wallet​

At checkout, choose the wallet payment method. See Pay with the customer's wallet.

See wallet history​

In the customer's profile:

  • W/P Recharge History: every top-up, with the Amount Added, Load Value, Available Balance and Remark.
  • W/P Redeem History: every time the wallet was used, with the bill number and Withdraw amount.

Redeem a gift voucher​

When a customer brings in a gift voucher they've received:

  1. Open the customer's profile.
  2. On Customer Detail, tap Gift Voucher Redeem.
  3. Enter the Gift Voucher Code and Gift Voucher Pin from the voucher.
  4. Tap Redeem.

You'll see Gift Voucher Redeem successfully., along with what was added to the customer's account. The wallet balance updates straight away.

If you see Failed To Redeem Gift Voucher, the message explains why. For example, the code or PIN is wrong, or the voucher has already been used or has expired.
