Correct bill numbers and values

👤 For: Store managers and owners, usually with Invoay Support

These are special repair tools for rare situations, for example after a device's date was set wrongly, or after a problem during syncing. Most stores never need them. If you're unsure, contact Invoay Support first.

🔓 Optional features: Bill correction tools These tools appear in Settings only when turned on for your store. Ask your admin to turn ON ShowRefreshBillPage (Bill Value Correction) or ShowRefreshBillIdSequencePage (Correct Bill Sequence) in the back office settings. If the setting is not available, please contact Invoay Support.

Correct Bill Sequence​

Use this if your printed bill numbers have gaps or are out of order.

  1. Go to Settings → General → Bills → Correct Bill Sequence.
  2. Read the welcome message and tap Start.
  3. Simple POS rechecks all bill numbers. This can take a few moments.
  4. You'll see a table of bills with their current number and the Corrected number.
  5. Check the list, then tap Correct Bill Id Sequence and confirm.

When it's finished, you'll see how many bills were corrected, with their Old Bill IDs and Corrected Bill IDs.

Bill Value Correction​

Use this if some bills' totals, taxes or discounts were calculated wrongly.

  1. Go to Settings → Bill Value Correction.
  2. In Bill Ids, type the bill numbers to check, separated by commas, e.g. 1021, 1022, 1030. Tap Add.
  3. Each bill appears in the list. Tap Preview to see it, or Remove to take it off the list. Bills that can't be found show Bill Not Found.
  4. Tap Process. When you see Bill Correction Completed, check the updated bills carefully.
  5. Tap Save Changes.
