Set up your printer and receipts

You'll see the Printer Setting screen right after you activate Simple POS. You can come back any time: Settings â Printing.
A live preview of your receipt is shown on the screen, so you can see every change straight away. đ
Printerâ
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Preview Template | Choose which kind of receipt to preview, e.g. a normal bill. |
| Printer | Pick your receipt printer from the list. |
| Receipt size | 2 Inch or 3 Inch rolls, plus a few alternative styles (e.g. V1, Old), and Arabic layouts for right-to-left printing. |
| Paper Size | Choose the paper format, if your printer supports more than one. |
| Font | Choose the receipt font. |
| Checkout Summary Dialog Time | How many seconds the Receipt Summary stays on screen after a bill (default 10). |
đĄ Tip: Not sure which size you have? Measure the width of your paper roll. About 5.7 cm is 2 Inch, and about 8 cm is 3 Inch.
Receipt Propertiesâ
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Bold Format In Header | Makes your store name and header bold. |
| Text Direction | Left To Right, or Right To Left (for languages such as Arabic). |
| Invoice Type Name | The title printed at the top, e.g. Tax Invoice or Bill of Supply. |
| Show Logo | Print your store logo at the top. |
| Text Scaling | Make the text bigger or smaller using the slider. |
| Margins (mm) | Fine-tune the space around the edges if the print is cut off or off-centre. Tap Update to apply. You'll see Receipt Margin Update complete. |
Tap Done when you're happy.
âšī¸ Note: Your store name, address, GST number, footer lines, terms and offers printed on receipts are set in the back office, so they're the same on every counter.
Card machine editionsâ
On the WorldLine and Razorpay editions, receipts are printed on the card machine's built-in 2-inch printer, and this is set up automatically.
Printing problemsâ
| Problem | What to try |
|---|---|
| Printing Error | Check the printer is on, has paper, and is connected. Then pick it again under Printer. |
| Print is cut off at the sides | Check the receipt size matches your paper, then adjust the margins. |
| Text too small or large | Use Text Scaling. |
| Nothing prints after a bill | Your store may be set to ask before printing. See Print or reprint a receipt. |
